Warora is a taluka in Chandrapur district.
In 1874 Chandrapur district was formed by including three tehsils namely Warora, Mul and Bramhapuri.
Both the cities of Nagpur and Chandrapur were declared together in the British Empire.
Hindu and Buddhist kingdoms ruled the region.
Around 9th century after 1751 Gondarajas started the Marathi period.
The last dynasty king Raghushi Bhosale died in 1853.
Establishment date of Warora Municipal Council is 17 May 1867. Warora is a city and municipal council in Chandrapur district in the
Indian state of Maharashtra. During the British Raj, the town was part of the Central Provinces and was a coal-mining center. The work place of famous social worker Baba Amte, "Anandwan" is situated in Warora
